What We Do
- FARAH celebrates the joy and beauty of Arab American culture and heritage
- We bring people together at our own mainstream cultural and educational events
- We provide unique access to Arab food, music, dance, art, literature and film throughout the year, and especially in April in celebration of Arab American Heritage month.

Our Core Values
JOY
(Farah):
Joy in Arab culture is viewed as a collective experience rather than an individual pursuit. We create experiences that celebrate the joy and fun of Arab culture, recognizing that joy is the key that unlocks an enriched perspective and a positive future. Through Joy we create an atmosphere of belonging, happiness, compassion and possibility.
HUMANITY
(Al-Insaanieh):
We ensure respect and compassion for all human beings, to promote mutual understanding, empathy and kindness, avoid misconceptions and negative stereotypes. We work together as a community to focus on the aspirational aspects, underlying spirit and humanity of the Arab American cultural narrative so as to create an equitable and inclusive future.
HOSPITALITY
(Diyafa):
We feel a deep responsibility to welcome all people with warmth and kindness; to make them feel valued and comfortable, and create a positive and inclusive experience. We are generous with our joy and social connections within the community by sharing Arabic food, storytelling, poetry, music, dance, film and art.
COLLABORATION
(Taeawun):
We are stronger together. We value the power of collaboration with other cultural and educational organizations through which Arab culture and heritage is enriched, and made accessible and inclusive to the greater community.
