Levantine Wines

Heya Farha Sparkling White: $12 glass

From Batroun, Lebanon, is a non-traditional sparkling white wine.  It is a co-ferment of 80% Merwah and 20% Red Delicious apples. Juicy baked orchard and high-toned citrus fruit. Slightly salty on the finish. Carbonic maceration for the apples and skin contact for the grapes. Native yeast fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with a small amount of sulfur.

(Heya Wines Winery. Heya means ‘She’ in Arabic and is a representation and appreciation of women who work hard in a male dominated industry to produce something they love, natural wines including co-ferments.)

Mersel Rising Phoenix Rosé : $10 glass

The Phoenix. the Lebanese national bird, is the firebird that keeps rising, using its passion and determination to try something new. Mersel Rising Phoenix Field Blend Rosé is a blend of organic Merwah(80%) and Sangiovese (20%) with notes of watermelon, guava, a touch of citrus and delicious refreshing finish.Mersel is one of the first wineries in Lebanon to produce a completely natural, organic wine that is free from additives and that is unfined and unfiltered.

(Merwah is a pale-skinned grape variety cultivated in Lebanon, and it is currently experiencing a resurgence as an indigenous grape in the country. This variety is often considered to be identical or closely related to Semillon. Merwah grapes are typically used to produce rich wines with subtle citrus and nutty flavors)

Lebnani Abyad: $10 glass

medium-bodied skin contact white, made from 150 year old vines of Merwah (70%) from the Qannboubine Valley and Sauvignon Blanc (30%)  from the Bekaa Valley.   Fresh, lively, mildly aromatic, and with a medium tannic structure, this is a diverse and food-friendly wine. Pair with a Lebanese mezze spread.

(Mersel Wine comes from the region Maksar Mersel, which is the highest viticulture region in Lebanon, located between the Cedars and Ainata El Arz at an altitude ranging between 2,000 and 2,400m. We also have vineyards in Ainata in the Bekaa Valley, Dimane and Bcharre in Wadi Qannoubine, and Bousit in Northern Lebanon.)
